The San Andrés-wrapped La Aroma de Cuba, and the one with the deepest, sweetest profile — a García-made maduro that punches well above its price.
Mi Amor swaps the broadleaf of the standard La Aroma de Cuba for a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, and the change is worth the small premium. San Andrés brings a darker sweetness — cocoa, espresso, a touch of dried fruit — over the peppery, earthy Nicaraguan core the García family builds everything on. Medium-full, rich, with a long finish that stays sweet. It is box-pressed, which suits the wrapper. The Robusto is the size we would buy; the Belicoso is the same blend if you want the extra ring. It was a Cigar Aficionado top-ten cigar the year it came out and, unlike a lot of those, it has stayed at an everyday price. One of the best maduros under $10 in our whole catalog.
A rich, sweet evening maduro when you want boutique quality without the boutique bill.
