Ashton's Nicaraguan line, made by the García family, with a dark broadleaf wrapper. A lot of My Father character for a good deal less money.

La Aroma de Cuba is an old brand name that Ashton revived and handed to Don Pepín García to blend, and it has quietly become one of the best values in Nicaraguan maduros. The Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper brings cocoa and a dark sweetness; the García-made core brings the pepper and earth the family is known for. Medium-full, well balanced, and a step more refined than most cigars at this price. The Robusto is a touch bigger than the classic size at 54 ring and is the right choice. If you like it and want more of the same, the Mi Amor (San Andrés wrapper) is richer and the Edición Especial (Habano wrapper) is more peppery. Construction is García-standard, which is to say excellent.

An everyday maduro with real depth, or a step up from budget Nicaraguans without stepping up in price.

Prices are as listed in each retailer’s feed at our last sync and can change before you check out. Links marked paid may earn Cigar HQ a commission at no cost to you; that never changes the order, which is always in-stock first, then cheapest per stick.
