Privacy Policy

Cigar HQ does not have user accounts, does not ask for your name or email, and does not run advertising or analytics tracking at this time.

The only thing stored on your device is a single flag recording that you confirmed you are 21 or older, so the age notice does not appear on every page.

When you confirm your age, we write one value to your browser's local storage. It records only that the confirmation happened. It contains no personal information, is not a cookie, is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and never leaves your browser.

Clearing your browser's site data removes it, and you will simply be asked to confirm your age again.

We do not collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number or payment details, because there is nowhere on this site to enter them.

We do not operate accounts, newsletters, comment sections or user submissions.

We do not run third-party advertising, and we do not currently run analytics or tracking scripts of any kind.

This site is hosted by Netlify. Like effectively all web hosts, Netlify records standard server request information — IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention and operational purposes. This happens at the infrastructure level and is governed by Netlify's own privacy policy.

We do not combine that information with anything else, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

When you follow an outbound link, you leave this site. The retailer you arrive at sets its own cookies and collects its own data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

Links to our affiliate partners route through the affiliate network's redirect (CJ, at cj.com, or FlexOffers, at flexoffers.com) before reaching the retailer. That redirect records that the click came from Cigar HQ and which page it came from, and may set a cookie on the retailer's site so a later purchase can be credited to us. It identifies the referral, not you personally — we never receive your name, email, or what you bought. Which retailers this applies to is listed on our affiliate disclosure, and the links themselves are labelled as paid where they appear.

This site is intended only for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. Since we do not collect personal information from anyone, this is a statement of intent as much as of practice.

If this site starts doing something that affects your privacy — analytics, a newsletter, affiliate tracking — this page will be updated before that goes live, and the date at the top will change.
