Ashton Cabinet Selection

The Cabinet Selection is what Ashton does instead of a limited edition. It uses the same Connecticut Shade and Dominican components as the Classic, aged longer, in a blend that is a little richer and a good deal smoother. Cream, cedar and honey, a light roasted nut, and a finish that is long and clean in a way the standard line does not quite manage. Mild-to-medium. The No. 6 is a slightly plump robusto and the size that shows the blend best; the Pyramid is the showpiece. It is expensive for a Connecticut, and it is worth it only if refinement is the thing you are paying for. For anyone who finds Davidoff too austere and the Classic too simple, this is the middle.

A celebratory mild cigar with genuine finish, or a wedding box for a mild-cigar crowd.
