Another split brand with a Cuban and a non-Cuban version. The 1875 is the long-running American mainstay.

As with Montecristo, the Romeo y Julieta sold in the US is the Dominican line from Altadis, distinct from the Cuban brand of the same name. The 1875 has been in production for decades and is stocked almost universally. It is a medium, cedar-forward cigar with no ambitions beyond being dependable, and it is priced accordingly.
