Honduras
Punch
The Honduran Punch: unglamorous, full-flavored and cheap, one of the oldest names in the business.
Punch is a Cuban brand dating to 1840; the version sold in the US is made in Honduras by General Cigar and has been a workhorse of the market for decades. The Clasico line — Sumatra wrapper, broadleaf binder, a Honduran-Nicaraguan-Dominican filler — is medium-full, earthy and consistent. The Rare Corojo is the limited-release sibling. Nobody talks about Punch, and everybody has smoked one.
