Avo Uvezian was a jazz pianist who started a cigar brand in Puerto Rico and then partnered with Davidoff, which makes and owns AVO today. The Classic is the original 1988 Connecticut blend and remains the reference; the Syncro lines added Nicaraguan and Peruvian tobacco for more body.
